Liza Soberano shared a flawless close-up portrait—but her caption had “nothing to do with this picture.”
“Has anyone ever seen brown eyes in the light? Like with really really good lighting,” she asked.
The 19-year-old actress waxed poetic about the eye color: “In the sun the color brown vanishes and turns into rays, golden rays of light. Creating its own image of a sunset.”
“There’s absolutely nothing ordinary about brown eyes and I am damn lucky to have looked into a beautiful pair of brown eyes in my lifetime.”
While she may be referring to her own eyes, there were also speculations that she could have been praising her onscreen partner Enrique Gil’s eyes.
The pair hasn’t confirmed an official relationship—Gil said in a PUSH.com interview that this was out of respect to her grandfather who doesn’t want her to have a boyfriend until she’s 21.
It’s also possible that she could have been praising brown eyes in general.
But based on the comments—which included a compliment from beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach—the general conclusion is regardless of eye color, Soberano is a true beauty. /ra
