More and more Hollywood stars are shunning fan attention, and “Hunger Games” actress Jennifer Lawrence is part of that growing list.

Speaking to fellow actor Adam Sandler in an interview with Variety Magazine, the 27-year-old starlet justified her seemingly “snobbish” attitude toward her admirers in public.

“I just, generally, once I enter a public place, I become incredibly rude,” she said, claiming that celebrities do receive an overwhelming amount of unwanted attention in public.

“That’s kind of like my only way of defending myself,” she explained.

“J-Law” also gestured some non-verbal cues she uses to dissuade fans from approaching her while eating in a restaurant, like wagging her finger and making a face.

And much like other celebrities, Lawrence claims that she responds with a big “No” to those seeking selfies.

“You don’t want that, man. What are you going to do with it?” Lawrence often tells her fans. /ra
