Eminem fulfills wish to collaborate with Beyonce on new single
Hip-hop superstar Eminem certainly returned with a bang after releasing the lead single “Walk on Water” for his upcoming ninth studio album, “Revival”—highlighted by a tantalizing live performance on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend.
Apart from the track’s vivid monologue-type delivery, fans were also thrilled with the 45-year-old rapper’s long overdue collaboration with another music royalty, Beyonce Knowles-Carter.
In a recent interview on hip-hop radio station Shade 45, Eminem bared what it was like on finally working with “Queen Bey” on a song.
“First of all, Beyoncé is amazing!,” he said, as relayed by The Citizen. “It’s been on my wish list for a long time. But I never really had a song that I felt like would be right to present to her. So, I was kinda waitin’.”
Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, added that the song—which talks about the pressures of fortune and fame—best suits “Single Ladies” singer.

Still, he relishes the chance to partner up with one of the music industry’s most polarizing figures.
“Beyoncé’s always…everything she does is so perfect,” the Detroit-raised rapper said. “But, the pressures behind that too…for her to do it so perfect, you know, I felt like she could probably relate to that.
He added: “‘Cuz I told her, I said, ‘I never seen you make a mistake before, ever.’ Like, performance-wise, everything. Every song she puts out, every album, it’s so calculated and precise. And everything’s always so perfect.” /ra
