‘Goyo’ first look

TBA Studios has released the first official photos of Paulo Avelino as Gregorio del Pilar in the coming historical epic “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.”

The new images were released on Nov. 14 during General del Pilar’s birthday.

The photo set features Avelino in different scenes from the film. One standout picture shows the dashing actor recreating one of Del Pilar’s most iconic looks.

The photos for the film are part of a five-week series of releases that feature some of the key characters.

The first group featured the American soldiers that included promising stars Ethan Salvador and Bret Jackson.

Returning to the franchise are fan favorites and familiar faces that appeared in “Heneral Luna” and the short film “Angelito,” such as Alvin Anson, Art Acuña, Carlo Aquino, Arron Villaflor, Epy Quizon (as Apolinario Mabini) and Mon Confiado (as President Emilio Aguinaldo).

Love interests in “Goyo” are played by Empress Schuck and Gwen Zamora.
