Dacre Montgomery seeks fans’ help to end water crisis
Australian actor Dacre Montgomery recently uploaded a video on Instagram, calling on his followers to help an organization focused on bringing potable water to communities in various countries.
“Water is a human right. Join the fight,” Montgomery said in the caption. “Follow @thirstproject on social media channels, so you can join us and help end the global water crisis.”
In the video, the “Stranger Things” actor said, “100 percent of the funds that we raise goes directly to funding clean water projects.”
According to the organization’s site (thirstproject.org), its mission is “simple”: “Build a socially conscious generation of young people … [to] end the global water crisis. By providing a community with safe drinking water, disease rates can drop by up to 88 percent virtually overnight.”
Montgomery, 22, also appeared earlier this year in the film reboot of “Power Rangers.”

The celebrity, 33, expressed optimism for a more widespread acceptance of LGBT people: “I’m encouraged and excited that eventually we’re going to get to a point where none of this matters. Sexual preference or orientation just won’t factor in anymore.”
Scott told Access Hollywood, “I was just honest about it. I didn’t want to hide it, so I told my sister right away. She was one of the first people I told.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
