The second season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” has received plenty of rave reviews so far.
But the hit sci-fi series may have gotten its greatest compliment yet from one of the world’s most phenomenal storytellers of all time.
World-renowned novelist Stephen King recently took to Twitter to share a short but sweet endorsement of the hottest show in television at the moment.
“STRANGER THINGS 2: Ladies and gentlemen, that’s how you do it: no bullsh**, balls to the wall entertainment. Straight up,” King wrote, which has since been re-tweeted over 78,000 times, as of this writing.

Often a staunch critic who’s never been known to mince his words, the 70-year-old author also seemingly shut down naysayers, who may be thinking of contesting his claims.
“Feel free to disagree, but… you would be wrong,” he said in a subsequent tweet.

Meanwhile, fans have noticed many similarities between the show and King’s numerous literary works.
For instance, both explore supernatural occurrences in small towns in the 1980s, and feature young and adventurous protagonists.
“Stranger Things” is also set in the fictional town of Hawkins in Indiana — King’s home state where most of his stories take place.
In earlier reports, the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer also admitted to have drawn inspiration from the legendary writer.
This is evident with the character Bob Newby (Sean Astin), who shared that he grew up in Maine in the 1950s and was terrified of clowns, which is perhaps an ode to King’s iconic malignant creation Pennywise, the clown from “It”. JB
