Estranged no more.
Comedian Kakai Bautista and actor Ahron Villena have finally ended their rift. Proving this is a video uploaded on Facebook, now going viral.
After their much-publicized exchange of words against each other, the two have rekindled their friendship through a weekend outing in Tagaytay.
In the video, they were slightly teasing each other while candidly posing for the camera. Bautista and Villena were also seen physically comfortable with each other again.
ABS-CBN’s DJ Jhai Ho was taking a live video of the two. He asked eventually asked the question that clarified the current status of the two: “Okay na kayo? Nagkabalikan?” (Are you okay now? Are you back together?)
Villena replied, “Nagkabati, okay na naman.” (We just patched things up. We’re okay now.)
DJ Jhai supplemented Villena’s answer with a tease, “Sige nga kiss naman jan, Kakai kiss naman jan, ano ba yan kanina kiniss.”
(Okay, kiss then, Kakai kiss [Ahron] please, you’re unfair, you guys earlier kissed.)
The video was posted by a certain Aileen Paguia Bautista who was also seen in the video.
Bautista and Villena, months ago, hit the headlines when speculations about them taking their friendship to the next level surfaced. They have both regarded each other as best friends.
However, things started to turn sour when Bautista voiced out something that seemed to have questioned the actor’s sexuality.
This then irked Villena and prompted the actor to speak out and counter the supposed malicious statement about him. It was at this point when Bautista got pushed into the “friend zone,” as Villena slammed her with a, “Naging tayo ba? Ako, ang alam ko, never naging tayo.”
(Were we ever together? As far as I know, we were never together.)
Not too long ago, Bautista had been the target of online bashing by netizens who hit her being friendzoned. Although she gave out hints on social media as to what she really felt at that time, it was only after a few months that she admitted to have loved, had expectations from, and got hurt by Villena. JB
