Piolo Pascual says he can’t replace John Lloyd Cruz in ‘Home Sweetie Home’

After John Lloyd Cruz went on an indefinite leave of absence from show biz, his sitcom “Home Sweetie Home” had to find a workaround.

Enter Piolo Pascual, who had previously appeared on the show as a guest star.

Actress Toni Gonzaga, who plays Cruz’s wife on the show, was eager to have her “Last Night” co-star on board. “We are very thankful na he’s available and he said yes,” she told ABS-CBN News.

She stated that two episodes have been shot with the buff actor, who is more accustomed to dramatic roles.

“Exciting siya… I’ve worked with Tin so many times, with Tita Sands [Andolong],” Pascual related.

When asked if he would play a love interest to Gonzaga, he clarified, “You cannot replace Lloydie. I don’t know how they’re gonna twist the story but I came as a cousin of him (sic).”

“I’m just doing this because we are one family in this network, so whatever help you can give.”

On leave with Cruz is “Sweetie” actress Ellen Adarna.  Niña V. Guno /ra
