Kris Aquino thanks President Duterte for sending flowers to her parents

Actress-TV host Kris Aquino expressed her gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte for sending flowers to her parents — former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino and Sen. Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. — to commemorate them this All Souls Day.

In an Instagram post by Aquino, she uploaded a photo of flowers sent by the president, bearing his name, at the tomb of two of the country’s icons of democracy.

The Queen of All Media wrote, “This is a simple post coming from a daughter who will always feel GRATITUDE whenever her beloved parents are shown respect. Maraming salamat po Pangulong Duterte.” (… Thank you very much, President Duterte.)

Apart from the Aquinos, the president has also sent flowers to other departed Philippine heads of state. He placed wreaths in place at the graves of former Presidents Elpidio Quirino, Diosdado Macapagal and Carlos Garcia.

The president’s gesture drew praises from netizens.
