It has been two years since the phenomenal love team of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards filled the Philippine Arena on Oct. 24, 2015 for their record-breaking “Tamang Panahon” concert.
The two thanked their fans for the unparalleled support, as they reminisced the glory days of “Tamang Panahon”.
In separate Twitter posts, Richards and Mendoza both recalled that historic Saturday event, watched over by millions of Filipinos all over the world.
Mendoza gave out a joyful sigh while retweeting an “Eat Bulaga” throwback “Tamang Panahon” tweet.

Richards, on the other hand, feels “2 years…nothing has changed… still grateful for everything. Maraming salamat sa inyo.” (…thank you all for everything)

It all started on the fateful day of June 16, 2015 when Richards first met Mendoza via split screen through an episode of the hit “Kalyeserye” segment on “Eat Bulaga”. This was the birth of the love team that gave the long-running noontime show unprecedented ratings.
Unlike other love teams, AlDub came about by accident. Thanks to the cameraman who panned his lens to Richards, who was then sitting with the studio audience; in split screen, Mendoza’s unscripted and unexpected reaction was captured too and seen by the public.
From there, the two went on to become one of GMA network’s most bankable love teams. JB
