MODEL-COMEDIENNE Wilma Doesnt says she is proud to be raising two beautiful daughters on her own.

Wilma is mom to Asiana, 8, and Svetlana, 3, whom she says are both “modest, polite and God-fearing.”

“I keep telling my friends, Asiana is my pride while Svetlana is my joy,” she adds. “My youngest and I don’t look alike, but she got her spunk from me. Asiana is very demure. Kamukha ko pero feeling nya si Lucy Torres s’ya.”

FEATURED STORIES

Wilma has kept the identities of the two girls’ fathers a secret even to her show biz friends, since, she says, neither one offered child support, anyway.

“If, eventually, they decide to take financial responsibility for the kids, I will accept,” she admits. “What they will give will be for the future.”

Wilma adds that she’s not worried about the girls growing up without a father figure. “My dad and brother are always around for them,” she says. “I remember asking Asiana, ‘Do you miss having a dad?’ Tumambling ako with her reply. ‘Mom, I don’t miss things I never had.’”

“I feel good about myself these days,” Wilma says. Plus, she says, she feels relieved that the “misunderstanding” she had with the production staff of her former show, “The Sweet Life” (Q11, now GNTV) has been settled.

She earlier admitted she got kicked out of the show after signing up for a project on a rival channel, TV5. “I have sat down with [Q11] to discuss what happened. Ms Gigi (Santiago-Lara, GMA 7 AVP for Alternative Programming) recently sent me a text message saying, ‘Let’s work together soon.’”

Wilma is part of the hour-long reality show, “Pinoy Samurai,” airing noontime Sundays on TV5. It also stars comedians Joey de Leon (whom she fondly calls “tatay”), Mr. Fu and Ruffa Mi.

“Tatay’s most recent advise,” she quips: “‘Tigilan mo ang pagpapantasya sa anak ko (Keempee de Leon).’”
