WATCH: Frankie Muniz explains why he has forgotten ‘Malcolm in the Middle’

In 2000, Frankie Muniz became a rising teen star as the title character in “Malcolm in the Middle”.

His TV dad on the show Bryan Cranston recounts his colorful career, which includes “TV star, race car driver, and then a drummer in a rock band.”

Unfortunately, Muniz, 31, has forgotten most of his experience on the show because of mini-strokes.

He shared on “Dancing with the Stars” where he is a contestant: “Most people think that my most memorable year would be the year ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ started, because it allowed me to live all these dreams of mine.

“I’ve gotten to really do anything I’ve wanted to do, but the truth is, I don’t remember much of that.”

“I’ve had nine concussions, I’ve had a fair amount of mini-strokes — TIAs or transient ischemic attacks,” he shared.

According to the American Stroke Association, TIAs are when blood temporarily stops flowing to the brain. While it causes no permanent damage, it is also known as a warning stroke because it indicates that a full-blown stroke could happen.

To help him relive his experiences, he said his girlfriend Paige writes about what happens every day.

But it could still get frustrating. “It makes me a little sad that [the memories] just doesn’t pop back into my mind.”

“Even if I don’t remember it all, I’m happy,” related Muniz.

Cranston said, “I told him not worry about what you remember or what you don’t remember. They are still your experiences.”

“My job is to tell him to remember what happened on ‘Malcolm in the Middle’,” he added.

After “Malcolm”, Muniz starred in films like “Agent Cody Banks” and made guest appearances in TV shows. In 2006, he pursued professional race car driving, then joined a band in 2012. Niña V. Guno/JB
