Joshua Garcia is the latest celebrity to secure a date to the Star Magic Ball.
He did so with romantic flair, particularly with a musical group singing Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” as they held up letters that spelled, “Will ü be my date?”
Julia Barretto looked stunned and appeared to be in tears when she saw the proposal in her family’s backyard.
Garcia eventually snuck up behind her with a bouquet of roses, after which she embraced him.
The love team swayed to the music, which included a violin instrumental.
Garcia has also gained the approval of the Barrettos: Julia’s brother Leon shared a photo of the pair and wrote, “Couldn’t ask for a better date for my sister @juliabarretto in the Star Magic Ball, thank you @garciajoshuae for making my sister truly happy!”

Julia’s grandmother Estrella, fondly called Mama Day, was grateful to Garcia: “Thank you Joshua for loving my granddaughter this way.”

If it wasn’t clear enough yet, Barretto said yes. This will be their second time together as Star Magic Ball dates.
