Fans waiting for a second season of the popular anime series “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” are getting the next best thing in an upcoming original video animation (OVA).
According to Japanese news site MoCa News via Anime News Network, White Fox studios will be animating the new OVA.
The teaser clip starts off by showing the lead character Subaru Natsuki in clear agony over something. If anything, it can be considered a clear representation of the fans waiting for season two.
Subaru, Rem and Ram are then shown getting busy in the kitchen. They appear to be focused on making something, mixing ingredients in bowls and whisking them together.
Emilia later peaks through the door and asks what the three are doing. Rem speaks up and slowly mouths the word, “OVA.”
“Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-“ follows the story of NEET Subaru Natsuki as he gets transported to a fantasy world. He gains the ability to rewind time after he dies, which eventually leads him from one heart-wrenching trouble to another.
The TV anime series produced by White Fox was adapted from a light novel of the same title by Tappei Nagatsuki. More details on the OVA are expected to be revealed soon at the TV anime series’ official website. Alfred Bayle/JB
