Pia Wurtzbach via Instagram
Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach has started filming for her comeback movie, Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 official entry “The Revengers,” with comedian Vice Ganda and Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla.
Through recent posts on the Instagram page @mychosdotcom, behind-the-scenes photos on the movie set was shared with the public.
The photo below shows that it was taken on Wurtzbach’s first shooting day. It includes Vice Ganda and film director Joyce Bernal.
In another post, the full title of the movie is made known as “Gandarrapiddo: The Revengers.” The cast and crew are shown at rest while preparing for the scenes ahead.
Wurtzbach was said to be “nervous” upon getting back in front of the camera. In an interview, the former beauty queen shared, “Kanina kinakausap ako ni Direk Joyce, nagte-take down ako ng notes kasi ultimo pagdadala ng lalagyan ng tubig, nakalimutan ko na.”
(A while ago, I was talking with Director Joyce, and I was taking down notes because I’ve forgotten even such things as bringing a water container.)
Wurtzbach, then known as Pia Romero, started out as one of the newest breeds of teen stars of the Kapamilya network in the early 2000’s. She was part of Star Circle Batch 11. She was officially launched via the now-defunct teen-oriented show K2BU alongside fellow former teen actresses Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao and Angeline Aguilar.
Her acting career suffered a downturn, in contrast to that of batchmates Alonzo and Magdayao, who now count as among the country’s most famous actresses. Her fame soared worldwide when she won as Miss Universe in 2015. /ra
