Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla’s family is beaming with pride at his Best Actor win at the recently concluded 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Movies.
His portrayal in the hit movie “Barcelona: A Love Untold” was what earned him the recognition. His family, particularly his mother, actress-TV host Karla Estrada could not be happier for her son.
In a recent Instagram video post by Estrada, Padilla’s family was seen sharing a toast to celebrate his win.
Her caption said, “Simpleng celebrasyon para sa isang importanteng paranggal. Ganito kami noon at ganito parin ngayon anumang tagumpay ang matanggap mananatiling solid ang pamilya.! Para saiyo Ama.”
(A simple celebration for a very prestigious recognition. This is how we were then and this is still how we are now, whatever victory we receive, our family remains solid. This is for you, Father God.)
Her post also carried the hashtags #teamford and #teampadilla. The first hashtag represents Estrada’s real surname which is Ford.
Meanwhile, veteran actresses Vilma Santos and Nora Aunor shared the Best Actress honors. Santos was recognized for her movie “Everything About Her” while Aunor was honored for her indie film, “Kabisera”. JB
