In case you missed it, Taylor Swift’s somewhat controversial new music video “Look What You Made Me Do” has been the most talked about song on social media for the past week.

Now, the raunchy clip is also the most viewed within a 24-hour timeline in YouTube history.

The 27-year-old singer’s latest hit, as per The Verge, has racked up 43.2 million views in one day, eclipsing Psy’s 2013 video for “Gentleman,” with 36 million views.

The video, which shows a somewhat darker side of the pop princess, garnered almost 30,000 views per minute on its debut on the video-sharing platform.

Even the track’s lyric video is breaking records, as it also overtook Coldplay and the Chainsmokers’ “Something Just Like This” which previously held the title for most views of a lyric video in a single day.

Swift’s lyric alternative was viewed 19 million times in its first 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the song’s “mixed reviews” certainly  warranted some major publicity, as the single also broke Spotify’s record for most plays in one day, which was previously held by Ed Sheehan’s “Shape of You.”

“Look What You Made Me Do” currently has a total of over 209 million views and counting on YouTube, as of this writing. /ra
