Viewers dared to go to a clowns-only screening of Stephen King’s ‘It’

Pennywise the clown from Stephen King’s novel “It” is already terrifying enough, and yet a theater in the United States wants moviegoers to dress up as clowns to watch the horror movie adaptation.
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema announced that the special clowns-only screening of “It” will happen on September 9 at four different theater branches in Austin, Texas.
The company is even organizing a pre-party before the movie, which will start at 5:30 p.m. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early in their best Pennywise outfits. There will be raffle prizes, face painters for clown make-overs, a photo booth and other activities.
“It” is a movie adaptation of Stephen King’s horror novel of the same title which was published in 1986. Its story follows a group of kids being terrorized by Pennywise the evil clown, as they attempt to solve the mystery behind his presence.
The movie will start screening in U.S. theaters on September 8. JB
