Emmy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron is all for gender equality and freedom, which she also imparts to her two adoptive children.
The 42-year-old “Atomic Blonde” actress has been praised by many for being a hands-on mother to 6-year-old Jackson, whom she adopted from her homeland, South Africa, and a 2-year-old daughter from the United States.
However, several netizens have lambasted Theron online after photos of her son dressed up as the heroine Elsa from the Disney animated film “Frozen” surfaced.
More images surfaced recently, which showed the young boy donning skirts and tutus. One showed him wearing a braided wig.
Although Theron seldom posts photos of her children on social media, NBC’s Page Six reaped negative comments on their images online.
“What kind of parent does this to a child??” one user wrote, referring to a photo of Jackson wearing colorful patterned leggings and a necklace of pink beads during a family vacation last month.
“Why would you adopt this young black boy and then degrade him??” another one said.
As of this writing, Theron’s representatives have yet to respond to the negative comments. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
