Motherhood may be her priority, but for singer-actress Sunshine Cruz, “education has always been very important.” Hence, after finishing college while pursuing her showbiz career, she is bent on pushing another longtime dream: to be a “psychologist, and I’m claiming it.”
In a recent post on Instagram, the gorgeous mom of three shared her journey to finishing her studies while juggling her showbiz commitments. In her post, she stitched her graduation photos from elementary to college.
“I entered show biz when I was 15 and I became very busy with tapings and shoots back then but I still tried my best to finish HS [high school].” she wrote.
Barely even enjoying her youth then, she “married young and had to prioritize the family especially the kids but still pursued one of my dreams, that is to finish college.” she added.
Proving that age is never an hindrance to still educate oneself in school, she was able to earn her college degree early this year at age 39.
“Thanks to Arellano University and ETEEAP program I graduated BA Psychology at age 39 😉 but it does not stop there,” she said.
Indeed, she isn’t, as she is set to pursue further studies in psychology “when I’ve saved enough for my children.”
She carried the hashtags #ThereIsNoAgeLimitToLearning and #EducationHasNoAgeLimit.
Sunshine Cruz is also known for her marriage that ended in a bitter separation to seasoned actor Cesar Montano. Their split was marred with rumors of infidelity on Montano’s end.
Coming from the famed Cruz showbiz family clan, she is cousin to ’90s singers and actresses Donna Cruz, Geneva Cruz and Sheryl Cruz. /ra
