Karel Marquez’s world nearly crumbled into pieces after her pregnancy ended up in a miscarriage.
On Wednesday, the actress penned a lengthy Facebook post that said she lost her supposed-to-be firstborn with hubby Sean Fariñas in her fifth to sixth week of her pregnancy.
“What happens when you and your husband want something so bad – got it for a short time – but didn’t push through?” she said. “Our dream of having a baby this year was short lived as I had chemical pregnancies, an early miscarriage at 5-6 weeks; every mother’s nightmare.”
Grieving over her miscarriage, Marquez sought refuge and comfort from people close to her. Marquez said, “For a month or two until today, I’ve grieved quietly, cried when no one would see and just let it all out. I had to tell my parents, manager and a friend when I couldn’t take the pain already. I tried not to show signs of sadness.”
Despite this, Marquez and her hubby are positive that their rainbow baby, a baby that is born after a miscarriage, will arrive at the right time.
“My husband and I decided to chill for a bit, and know that the right time will come,” Marquez sanguinely pondered. “As they say, everything happens for a reason. For now, let me be my best self, respect my body and mind, focus on the family we’ve built, go back to work full time, and still keep on inspiring others.”
