Daniel Radcliffe, best known for playing boy wizard “Harry Potter”, is heroic both on and off the silver screen.
Like a true Gryffindor, the 27-year-old actor rushed to help a middle-aged tourist who had just been robbed and was slashed on the face, reports Evening Standard.
The incident happened in London’s King’s Road, where two men in a moped without a plate number were driving through the streets and appeared to be suspicious as they were watching people.
One of them got down to grab a man’s designer bag. When the man resisted, the robber brought out a knife and cut the man’s face.
After they drove off, a group of people in the area approached the traumatized man to assist him.
According to a witness, former police officer David Videcette saw the actor in the group and said, “you’re Daniel Radcliffe,” to which the reply was, “I am.”
“He was a really nice bloke, a lot of stars wouldn’t have stopped to help,” adds Videcette. “The victim was very, very shaken up.”
The case is still being investigated and no arrests have been made yet. Niña V. Guno/JB
