Liza Soberano’s ‘Darna’ leading man will not be Daniel Padilla, says manager

Speculations about a different leading man for Liza Soberano for the much-anticipated “Darna” movie recently surfaced online. However, it wasn’t the name of Enrique Gil, Soberano’s on-screen partner, which was discussed.
Oddly enough, it was allegedly the Teen King, Daniel Padilla, who’s being considered to star alongside Soberano. It created such online buzz that it drove LizQuen fans to worry for Gil.
To put a stop to the speculations, Soberano’s manager Ogie Diaz finally clarified that Padilla will not be Soberano’s leading man.
In a recent Facebook post, the entertainment columnist linked a story about a possible Padilla-Soberano team up, which he nullified with the caption, “Not true po“.

There is no official announcement yet as to who will play Soberano’s male lead in “Darna” but LizQuen fans are still hoping it would be Enrique Gil.
Soberano and Gil have recently been sharing in social media that they are training together, not for any special project, but simply to inspire each other to do better. JB
