Fil-Aussie ‘Miss Saigon’ alumnus RJ Rosales; 37
Singer-actor RJ Rosales passed away on Sunday night in Sydney, Australia, reportedly due to a heart attack. He was 37.
The exact cause of death has not been determined, however, since the Rosales family requested privacy.
Filipino-Australian RJ—born Roseo Jose Rosales—was in the Australian production of the celebrated musical “Miss Saigon” in 1996. Two years later, he moved to Singapore and began a successful career in theater and television.
In the Philippines, Rosales was a singer, actor, host and recording artist, performing with several popular artists, notably Carol Banawa, with whom he recorded the hit movie theme song “Together Forever.” He was also part of the Sunday variety show “ASAP.”
In a statement, Star Magic, which handled Rosales’ career, said it “sympathizes with RJ’s family on his untimely demise,” and asked everyone to “pray for the eternal repose of RJ’s soul.”
