EXO creates official Twitter account

In preparation for their upcoming comeback and to get closer to fans, Korean boy group EXO created a unified, official Twitter account and was welcomed with an overwhelming 11 million tweets from EXO-Ls (fans of EXO).

With the handle @weareoneEXO, the group has garnered around 436K followers.

Their first tweet was a poll asking EXO-Ls what hashtag they wanted to use. Both #EXO and #KoKoBop trended worldwide. They also tweeted teasers of member Kai.

The group also dropped a teaser photo and video of the group’s main dancer, Kai.

Prior to the creation of the official account, EXO-Ls had already been generating a daily average of more than a million tweets. In 2016, EXO won as top global artists, as they led the list of Top Trending Artists on Twitter.

EXO is set to come back on July 18 at 6 p.m. with their fourth full-length album entitled “The War”. It comes with the lead track “Ko Ko Bop”, as announced by their agency, S.M. Entertainment.

EXO debuted in 2012 with “Mama” and is now one of the most popular K-pop boy bands, both locally and internationally. EXO’s last studio album was titled “Ex’Act” which was released June last year, with the lead track “Monster”. JB
