For the past five years, pop diva Celine Dion has been performing onstage wearing costumes, mostly from high-end fashion houses, including Armani Privé, Giambattista Valli and Versace.
Recently, however, her fans got a rare peek at what goes on between the quick wardrobe changes Celine goes through during her shows.
In a recent post by Vogue magazine on Instagram, the 49-year-old singer, who’s currently doing a miniconcert tour in Europe, is shown sitting on a chair, naked, her arms folded in front of her.
“For Celine’s orders, the houses send teams to Nevada, for typically three fittings, before the garments are ultimately finished in her private atelier,” the caption reads.
In another Instagram post, Vogue quotes Celine as saying: “My energy feels younger, more dynamic…Everything now feels like it is a first…Fashion, fame, celebrity are just for fun. There are more important things: children, family, the world.”
Lady Gaga defends Ed Sheeran
Contrary to previous reports, Ed Sheeran said he didn’t quit Twitter because of his online bashers—he simply stopped reading their vitriolic comments.
“Loads of hoo-har about me quitting stuff. I haven’t quit anything. I’m just not reading anything, except Harry Potter,” the British singer recently wrote on Instagram post.
Earlier, The Sun quoted the 26-year-old recording artist as saying that “there’s nothing” on Twitter but “people saying mean things.” “One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I have come off it. The head-f**k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much,” Ed told the British tabloid.
Pop star Lady Gaga came to Ed’s defense, urging netizens to stop being hateful and start being “positive and loving.”
“No reason to tear down an artist simply because he’s on top,” she recently wrote on Instagram. “Work harder to be kinder, everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
