WATCH: Lady Gaga plays wedding singer for Russia’s wealthiest
Musicians usually make their name by starting out at small gigs, typically weddings—but for Lady Gaga, it was the other way around. Still, her recent wedding singer gig turns out to be big time.
The iconic pop singer-songwriter performed at the wedding of two Armenian tycoons’ children, Lolita Osmanov and Gaspar Avdolyan, reports Daily Mail.
Osmanov is daughter to Eldar Osmanov, an energy tycoon. Avdolyan’s father Albert, an Armenian, has an estimated net worth of $750 million, according to Forbes. Both families are based in Russia.
To say the ceremony was lavish is an understatement: it was held at the Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, and while no amount has been stated regarding the cost, the venue, decor and celebrity performances alone should at least stack up to a few million dollars.
The Dolby Theatre is also known for the annual Oscars ceremonies. But this time, for the wedding, it was decorated in tiers of fresh flowers, and big names from Russia were the VIPs.
Other Hollywood names were in attendance too. Lady Gaga and Jason Derulo put on a show for guests during their individual performances:
The Grammy-award winner and Superbowl performer sang hits including “Million Reasons” and “The Edge of Glory”.
Money may not buy you happiness—but a private Lady Gaga show certainly is a reason to smile. Niña V. Guno/JB
