Not a few fans wept buckets when Ricky Boy, the 2-year-old son of cop-turned-jeepney driver Cardo Dalisay, perished in a terrorist attack in the ABS-CBN series, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

Actor Coco Martin, who plays Cardo, reportedly had a tough time doing the emotionally charged scene. He has clearly grown fond of the kid. Coco wrote on Facebook: “I will miss you, Ricky Boy.”

Ricky Boy is portrayed by Al Vaughn Chier Tuliao, who just turned 2 years old a few weeks ago. That meant the prodigy was only a year old when he joined the prime-time action-drama show.

“He is receptive in our scenes and very amiable,” recalled costar Malou Crisologo. “He’s a cute and smart kid, and we adore him tremendously.”

Which makes letting go all the more difficult.

“It was very painful. We were all devastated,” Malou admitted. Especially Coco.—BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
