Gabby on former squeeze Janice: Beautiful to work with her again

Gabby Concepcion (left) and Janice de Belen

It was such a delight to watch ex-lovers Janice de Belen and Gabby Concepcion in GMA 7’s “Magpakailanman.” They portrayed former high school classmates who crossed paths again and ended up together.

It made me reminisce about the good old days when they were still a couple. Janice and Gabby used to call each other “Fatso” and were fond of wearing matching outfits. Unlike most ex-couples, however, they have remained extra-special to each other.

Gabby shares his thoughts on being reunited with Janice:

“I have only good things to say about Janice. It was beautiful to work with her again. She hasn’t changed at all. I even put my arm around her during the shoot—and that meant something to me.

“I see a very strong mother in her, which isn’t surprising. She took after her mom. I felt like babying her again—that was how we were before. Of course, that isn’t possible anymore. I was just on flashback mode. I can’t remember a single fight we had. If we did fight, I’m sure it was my fault (laughs).”

Sarah exorcises her inner demons

Sarah Lahbati

Sarah Lahbati is deglamorized in Kamikazee Pictures’ “Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah dela Cruz,” yet she still oozes with sex appeal. In the movie, she portrays a reclusive police officer, which she pulls off convincingly. In some scenes, Sarah reminded me of Angelina Jolie. The movie will make you ponder on how to exorcise your inner demons.

Here’s my chat with Sarah:

How do you discipline your son, Zion? I reprimand him when he does something bad and explain that what he did was wrong.

What made you accept the offer to do “Pagsanib?” My role in the movie and its story aren’t typical.

How do you feel about Richard (Gutierrez) moving from GMA 7 to ABS-CBN? I’m very proud of him.

What are your daily beauty rituals? Cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

What’s your message to girls who flirt with Richard? I don’t have to worry. I feel secure.

What makes your horror film different? It’s a contemporary movie that will leave you thinking after watching it.

Personal

Congratulations to my dear friend, Momoi Supe, on the opening of the new branch of Strokes salon in Vertis North Phase.
