Here are five action-packed movies heading to theaters from June to August.

Baby Driver
Known for comedy parodies “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz,” Edgar Wright returns to directing with this movie, which screened back in March at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas. The film tells the story of Baby, a young getaway driver who wants to get back on the straight and narrow after meeting the girl of his dreams.

War for the Planet of the Apes
After being rebooted at the start of the decade, the saga based on the Pierre Boulle book gets a new installment this summer, which sees Cesar and his apes embroiled in a war against humans.

Detroit
The only female Oscar-winning director looks back at the Detroit riots in the summer of 1967. More than 40 people were killed and 500 were injured in the space of four days.
