Contrary to earlier reports that Lisa Kudrow was working on a “Friends” spin-off based on her bubbly character Phoebe Buffay, the 53-year-old American actress has put the claims to rest.
Last week fans of the 2000s hit sitcom were delighted, as multiple outlets reported that Kudrow was discussing potential story lines for the show to “Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman.
Hopes were further raised after some reports suggested that her co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry were likely to make cameo appearances as well.
However, Kudrow’s spokesperson made it clear that the actress was definitely not working on such project nor was she willing to anytime soon, Digital Spy reported.
Kudrow and Kauffman, meanwhile, continue to work on Netflix’s comedy-drama web series “Grace and Frankie,” where Kudrow is set to appear in Season 4.
Earlier this year, most of the cast members have shut down a potential one-off special “Friends” episode, saying they were too busy with their respective careers. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
