Flashes of brilliance in Britney’s ‘best’ Asian stop

Britney Spears

For the first time, Britney Spears visited the Philippines and performed at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last June 17 before a sold-out crowd—which, according to some of the pop star’s backup dancers—was the best so far in this ongoing Asian tour.

The 35-year-old recording artist delivered a visually arresting 90-minute show, which saw her performing some of her most popular songs like “…Baby One More Time,” “Oops!…I Did It Again!,” “Toxic,” “I’m a Slave 4 U” and “Piece of Me.”

While her commitment to the choreography wavered at times, Britney did show glimpses of her old self every so often, particularly during her dance breaks in “Womanizer” and “Me Against the Music.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
