Usually we see novels being adapted for movies, but rarely do we see the other way around.
The Penguin Random House Publishing has broken that norm, as its announced that it will be adapting Charlie Brooker’s anthology television series “Black Mirror” into a series of books.
The British thriller, which puts to light a technological dystopia for each episode, will be edited by Brooker himself, The Verge reports.

According to Penguin Random House, each book will contain stories that “take the very essence of the globally acclaimed cult TV show to create new, original, darkly satirical stories that tap into our collective unease about the modern world.” The publishing company has yet announce if the other episode writers will be consulted as well.
In all, “Black Mirror” has spawned 13 episodes in three seasons from 2011 to 2016.
The first volume is expected to be released in February 2018, with the second coming out in the latter part of that year. The third volume will debut in 2019.
The TV show’s fourth season, meanwhile, is expected to come out on Netflix sometime this year. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
