Similar to some parts of “Saving Mr. Banks”, a movie inspired by Mary Poppins, “Goodbye Christopher Robin” shows the life of author A.A. Milne and how he came about creating Winnie the Pooh, as inspired by his son Christopher Robin “Billy” Milne.

This scene in particular is vaguely reminiscent of a spot in the Hundred Acre Wood, part of the land inhabited by Winnie the Pooh and his friends, as visualized on the books and Disney’s animated series.
Winnie the Pooh is one of the most successful franchises under Disney. It stars a fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear called Winnie the Pooh or “Pooh Bear,” created by English author A. A. Milne.
A book titled “Winnie the Pooh” was published in 1926 and contained the first stories about the character. Prior to that, a poem about the bear appeared on the children’s verse book “When We Were Very Young”, published in 1924.
The movie stars Domhnall Gleeson (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, “Ex Machina”) as author A.A. Milne, with Margot Robbie (“Suicide Squad”) as the mother of Christopher Robin, and Kelly Macdonald (“Trainspotting”, “Brave”) as his nanny Olive. The movie is currently scheduled for release on September 29 for the United Kingdom and October 17 for the United States. JB
