‘Will & Grace’ returns to US TV September 28
After an 11-year break, the hit comedy will return to United States TV this fall. The show’s ninth season starts Thursday, September 28, NBC has announced.
After CBS and CW, NBC is the latest U.S. TV network to reveal its 2017 to 2018 season schedule. Keenly awaited series this coming year include “Will & Grace” which returns with 12 new episodes featuring the original cast (Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally).
After its 11-year hiatus, the comedy will return to its Thursday night slot, now falling between the second seasons of “The Good Place” and “Great News”. “Superstore”, now starting its third season, will kick off the Thursday night line-up, concluding with the sixth season of “Chicago Fire”.
Another eagerly anticipated series returning to the network is “This is Us”, which will start its second season Tuesday, September 26, followed by the new show, “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders”. This anthology focuses on major legal trials, with the first season exploring the case of the Menendez brothers, who were accused of killing their parents.
NBC’s new season begins Monday, September 25, bringing season 13 of “The Voice” and new show “The Brave” about the day-to-day lives of American army personnel. Season 19 of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” will screen each Wednesday from September 27, just before the fifth season of “Chicago PD”. A fifth season of “The Blacklist” (October 4) and a third season of “Blindspot” (October 27) will join the schedule in October.
