A while back, Netflix announced a live-action American adaptation of anime “Death Note”. Now a company called Tomorrow Studios has announced that they are developing a live-action TV series adaptation of anime “Cowboy Bebop” for the American audience.

For the project, Tomorrow Studios will be partnering with Midnight Radio to executive produce the show alongside Sunrise, the studio responsible for the original anime, reports Deadline.

Chris Yost, the writer who penned “Thor: The Dark World” and “Thor: Ragnarok”, will also be part of the writing team for this adaptation.

“We are excited to work with Sunrise in bringing this beloved anime to the U.S. and global marketplace as a live-action series,” the report quotes Marty Adelstein of Tomorrow Studios. “The animated version has long resonated with audiences worldwide, and with the continued, ever growing, popularity of anime, we believe a live action version will have an incredible impact today.”

The “Cowboy Bebop” TV anime series originally aired from April 3 1998 to April 24 1999. The story focuses on bounty hunter Spike Spiegel and the ragtag crew of the spaceship “Bebop” as they go after criminals around the galaxy and face their respective convoluted pasts. “Cowboy Bebop” is considered as one of the best anime series of all time. Alfred Bayle/JB
