Showtime has released the first two episodes of the new “Twin Peaks” season online to non-subscribers, in a bid to tantalize new viewers.

The spontaneous sampling of the episodes, which originally aired on May 21, will be available to stream for free from June 2 until Sunday at midnight Eastern, on YouTube, Sho.com and Facebook (via Pitchfork).

The first four episodes are currently available to subscribers on Showtime On Demand and Showtime Anytime, with Part 5 of the series scheduled to air on Sunday, June 4.

The 18-part remake of the early ’90s cult series is directed by David Lynch, and picks up 25 years after the initial “Twin Peaks” murder mystery, with Kyle MacLachlan starring as FBI special agent Dale Cooper. JB
