WATCH: Simon Cowell’s 3-year-old son ‘takes over’ dad’s job
Like father, like son.
Upon returning to the 12th-season premiere of “America’s Got Talent” as a judge, Simon Cowell tagged along someone who would follow his footsteps—his 3-year-old son, Eric.
As seen on the show’s sneak peek posted on YouTube on Tuesday, the 57-year-old TV tycoon, who is known as a boorish “nightmare” to the show’s contestants, bonded with his son during a short break.
“Are you trying to do my job? What do I do?” Cowell asked Eric, who said “yes” and went on to playfully nudge his dad’s red buzzer several times.
“That is my job!” Cowell asserted, as fellow judge Heidi Klum told Eric, “Just like your daddy.”
Despite his tender age, Cowell is keenly convinced that his son, whom he shares with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, is already a “brilliant” judge. “I watch him, and when he likes an act he’s normally right, and when an act’s a bit boring and he loses interest, he’s normally right,” Cowell told Extra recently. “He loves pushing the buzzers. He’s got a real sense of it and he likes coming down.” Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
