Millie Bobby Brown of ‘Stranger Things’ once auditioned for ‘Logan’

Millie Bobby Brown was almost an “X-Men” super-heroine.

Speaking to Variety for their “Actors on Actors” series, the British child star revealed that she once auditioned for the role of Laura Kinney, the young mutant who’s also known as X-23, for the film “Logan.” Although Dafne Keen eventually bagged the role,  Brown had no regrets acting in front of lead actor Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold.

“I was like, ‘It’s going to be amazing, I’m going to really prepare’ and I sat in my room reading the lines,” she told Variety’s Evan Rachel Wood. “Honestly, for me, I felt so…I felt an actor, in the audition room, hitting Hugh Jackman, and James Mangold sitting right in front of me.”

Brown admitted that she watched the film and was downright impressed by Keen’s portrayal. “I watched it. She was incredible. It meant so much to me,” Brown said, noting that her audition piece for “Logan” was one of the best she had.

Nevertheless, Brown, 13, will make her big-screen debut in “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” which will be released in March 2019.

She rose to international stardom for her role as Eleven in the Netflix sci-fi drama “Stranger Things,” which will premiere its second season this October.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
