WATCH: ‘Stranger Things’ drops trailer for second season
Halloween season marks the plethora of spooky things in nature, but for 2017, it also signals the return of Netflix’s surprisingly good sci-fi horror series, “Stranger Things”.
The famed internet-television company released the much-awaited trailer for the hit series’ second season through a Super Bowl ad earlier this week.
Although it’s a relatively short 36-second teaser, a whole lot is happening in the viral clip, including scenes that pretty much picked up from where the show left off during its magnificent 8-episode debut in 2016.
Among these unanswered cliffhangers were the fate of the show’s most endeared characters Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) and Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), who were affected the most by the extremely peculiar events of last season.
The psychokinetic Eleven, who appears to have perished in the final episode in season one, is teased to return sooner than expected in season two, with a split-second close up of her face. The speculations even grew stronger, as the clip began with an old Eggo commercial, which was El’s favorite food throughout the series.

The show’s producer Shawn Levy confirmed that season two is set in 1984, the same year when the popular pop-culture movie first came out.
“Stranger Things” season 2 consists of nine episodes and is set to be released on October 31, 2017. The episode titles were revealed in a separate video. Khristian Ibarrola
