In a rare movie-TV show crossover, “Supergirl” released a promo for the “Wonder Woman” film, about a week away from the movie’s premiere on June 1 (June 2 in the United States).
Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is seen strutting in her signature red boots, passing by her sister Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh). The original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter, who plays the U.S. president in the show, also makes an appearance. Villainess Queen Rhea (Teri Hatcher) surprisingly compliments Supergirl’s new boots—and viewers will find out why.

It is fitting that a show chock-full of powerful female characters pays tribute to the Amazonian princess played by Gal Gadot. Critics treated to an early screening have praised the film, with some pegging it as the “best DC movie so far.” JB
