‘Deadpool’ animated series coming to television
Ryan Reynold’s portrayal of the obnoxiously entertaining anti-hero Deadpool, has certainly been well received by the masses.
Although fans still need to wait a year for its big-screen sequel, cable network FXX announced that it will produce an animated series featuring everyone’s favorite “Merc with a Mouth.”
According to MTV, American actor and screenwriter Donald Glover will headline the production of the series, based on Marvel’s most foul-mouthed character.
A thrilled Robert Linfield—who created Deadpool in 1991—took to Instagram to confirm the upcoming series.
“So hopefully this picture makes even much more sense now!! Don’t ever let it be said I can’t keep a secret as I’ve known about this cartoon for 12 months!” the Marvel comic writer captioned his post featuring the animated character, alongside a picture of himself with Glover.

As of this writing, both FXX and Glover have yet to announce a possible air date, but they revealed to have already contacted several writers for the project. Marvel’s TV head Jeph Loeb and producer Jim Chory will also be involved in the series, the report said.
Aside from helming the Deadpool project, Glover is also expected to appear in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” next month. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
