WATCH: Phoenix releases new ‘J-Boy’ music video

French synth-pop band Phoenix have dropped a video for their new song “J-Boy”, taken from their upcoming album “Ti Amo”.

After outing a first video featuring the audio for the “J-Boy” single and the upcoming release’s artwork as its only image, Phoenix has now released the single’s full music video.

The video features the “If I Ever Feel Better” and “Lisztomania” singers playing a live TV performance on a mock Italian TV show straight out of the 1980s. Two presenters introduce the band, telling viewers that they hail from the French city of Versailles and citing inspirations such as Serge Gainsbourg, The Velvet Underground and The Beatles.

FEATURED STORIES

Phoenix is one of several prominent French electro groups to break through internationally, alongside Daft Punk, Cassius and Air.

Released June 9, “Ti Amo,” will be the band’s sixth album. It is already available to preorder on the band’s website. JB
