LOOK: Nannies surprise Mariel Rodriguez ahead of Mother’s Day

Days before Mother’s Day, Mariel Rodriguez’s nannies gave their boss a surprise treat.

The actress-host thanked their dutiful maids for helping her take care of her daughter Isabella and cope with the stresses and joys of being a first-time mother.

“Our 5 yayas (maids) bought [a] cake, arranged flowers and dressed up my baby to surprise me for my first mother’s day,” Rodriguez captioned her Instagram post showing a cake and a bouquet of flowers.

Rodriguez also said that three of her helpers were with her during the times when she suffered two miscarriages before successfully giving birth.

“They witnessed all my pain and hardships, they know how much motherhood means to me, they have seen my transition to becoming a mom…they know my struggles and today they made sure I would feel special,” she added, citing that she intended to surprise them on Mother’s Day.

Last November, Rodriguez gave birth to Isabella, her first child with Robin Padilla, in the US. Padilla and Rodriguez got hitched in India in August 2010.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
