Name it, Vina Morales has been through it all in the name of love. Her heart has been to hell and back—and now it’s in limbo.

How long will it take before her heart gets to paradise? Love owes the actress a better fate, because she always gives it her all.

But, my fab “Sissie” (that’s how Vina and I call each other) is not one who would lick her own wounds. She’s not just moving on, she’s moving up with the help of her loved ones (especially her lawyer friend, Lucille Sering). When she recently launched “Vina XXX,” her latest album, she was also raring to begin the next chapter of her love life. Viva la vida, Vina!

FEATURED STORIES

For the first time, Vina talks about her breakup with her French boyfriend, Marc Lambert. Here’s her official statement:

“After two years together, I have decided to end my relationship with Marc. We, however, remain friends. The physical distance has taken a toll on our relationship. Being together in one place is a sacrifice that we aren’t yet ready to make, because of our respective obligations.

“Marc is based in Geneva, while I have my family and career here in the Philippines. As much as we still love each other, we’re giving ourselves space and time to grow separate from each other, hoping that by taking this high road, we come out as better persons. I continue to respect Marc and wish him all the best.”

Here’s my chat with Vina:

Why is your single “Lagay ng Puso” your “national anthem” at this point of your life? It’s because I can relate to the song. It’s about a survivor. She can control her emotions but doesn’t show the real state of her heart.

After all you’ve been through in the name of love, what has it taught you? That I can fall in love again and again and still get hurt. But I have always believed that there’s someone out there for me, a perfect match from God.

What kind of guy would make you want to fall in love again? At this point, I no longer want what I want, I just want the kind of guy God wants for me.

Would you take an ex back? That would depend on a lot of factors.

When your daughter Ceana is old enough, what advice would you give her about guys and love? Always show love and respect, love your mate as you would love yourself, but don’t make him your everything, because if you lose him, you’ll be left with nothing. Don’t lose yourself.

Would you rather be single or in a relationship? If there are a lot of problems in the relationship and the people around me give me a lot of stress by trying to ruin the relationship, then it isn’t worth pursuing. I’d rather be single.
