Promotion for the live action movie adaptation of the “Ajin: Demi-Human” manga is in full swing as its first trailer begins streaming in the film’s official website.

The trailer features some of the key characters from the series, with some slight changes, namely the ages of the protagonist Kei Nagai and antagonist Satou.

The setting for the movie will be the present, Tokyo 2017.

“Ajin” is a manga penned by Gamon Sakurai that follows the story of immortal beings called Ajin or demi-humans. Kei Nagai was just a normal high school student when a road accident kills him. He is immediately revived, thanks to his latent Ajin immortality, but had to go on the run in order to deal with the circumstance of being immortal.

Ajin the movie will premiere in Japanese theaters on September 30. JB
