One of the most iconic scenes from the “Alien” movie franchise is a “chestburster” alien erupting from its human host in all its bloody glory. So what if you could be this alien creature and see through its eyes the horror on the faces of people as you burst out of their fallen comrade’s chest?

That is what the “Alien: Covenant In Utero” virtual reality film hopes to deliver.

Fans will be able to strap on a VR headset and experience a full 360-degree journey as a chestburster alien at the time of its “birth.”

“In Utero” VR is produced by Ridley Scott himself and directed by David Karlak in partnership with FoxNext VR Studio. It will be available starting April 26 on Oculus.

“Alien: Covenant” is the newest addition to the popular “Alien” movie franchise. It follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant as they make their way to a remote planet on the other side of the galaxy.
