All systems go for Mega in Cinemalaya

After weeks of speculation, the confirmation came from the Megastar herself.

Contrary to reports, Sharon Cuneta has announced that her first Cinemalaya movie, Mes de Guzman’s “Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha,” will push through this August.

Earlier, there were unverified reports that Sharon would not be able to do the film due to scheduling conflict (a direct result of the delays caused by the supposed Gabby Concepcion reunion movie).

Now, Mega herself has posted on Facebook: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Cinemalaya 2017, for giving me and Direk Mes the privilege and honor to be part of this year’s entries. I am beyond thrilled and feel truly blessed.”

She recounted that she had met with Direk Mes over the weekend. “Direk Mes and I are so excited. So happy. Walang kokontra—tuloy na tuloy na … (Don’t try to stop us—it’s all systems go …)”

She will also proceed with her comeback movie under Star Cinema. —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
