Netflix unveils trailer for ‘Orange Is The New Black’ season 5

Netflix has released a first-look clip from the premiere episode of the upcoming “Orange Is The New Black” season five, ahead of its release in June.

The one-minute, 16-second clip picks up where season four left off, with Litchfield inmate Daya (Dascha Polanco) pointing a gun at corrections officer Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey) while a horde of prisoners urge her to pull the trigger.

While the riot rages on in the corridors of Litchfield Penitentiary, the camera switches to fellow inmates Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), who come across the chaotic scene, whilst in the middle of taking a decision to renounce their troublemaking ways.

The show — which has won three consecutive Scree Actors Guild Awards for outstanding ensemble in a comedy series —returns to Netflix on June 9, with season five to reportedly take place over the course of three days at Litchfield, chronicling the events after the death of inmate Poussey Washington.
