Fruitcakes forever

For 36 years, Ju.D Lao has gained distinction as the Philippines’ Fruitcake Lady, because her delicious fruitcake has attracted a loyal, high-end clientele, including socialites, politicians, and celebrities. Ju.D’s fruitcakes include her delicious Classic Fruitcake, Exquisite Gold Fruitcake (made with Apricot and Cranberry), divine Prune Cake, Deliciously Kahlua-laced Ju.D Blue, and her Chewy Chewkies and Ginger Cookies.
For the last three years, Ju.D’s daughter, Jamie, has been taking things a step further. Jamie has added a range of youth-oriented products at student prices. These include Mango Cranberry Cookies, Ginger Dark Chocolate Cookies, New York Peppermint, Espresso Nougat, Mango French Nougat, and their newest product, Cookies and Cream Nougat.
This year, Jamie will be setting up booths for Ju.D’s Fruitcakes at Eastwood Mall’s Weekend Gourmet Market every Saturday and Sunday, and at the Soderno Weekend Market in Alabang.
